Ringtones Are Rude and Annoying?

They indicate that “a subset of non-ringtone using phone users goes much further — to the point where they actively dislike ringtones and find them annoying.”
To that end, they identify a growing market for the annoying and rude tones. However rude or annoying a ringtone may be, apparently someone thinks it’s funny. If it’s funny that means it’s entertaining- same as music ringtones.
Many mobile users love their phones. We love to customize them and make them our own. Using mobile ringtones and wallpapers is much like putting stickers on our cars, notebooks or skateboards. So with the tasteful applicaton of ringtones we must also welcome the rude. Together we can annoy the non-ringtone users (into submission and adoption).

Personally, I can’t stand hearing people’s phones going off playing 50 cent, Eminem, and all that pop crap…very annoying. Since, I hate corporate jingles too, rude ringtones are a natural fit for me. After some research, the cheapest/coolest ones out there are at an unusual site:

The site looks childish, but the sounds are like anti-ringtone and feature some very gifted people in the flatuelent arts.

People likes what they like. So ringtones is a part of music they like.

I would agree that in many places, especially public places, annoying ringtones can be a real pain. These days its often the case that you cant actually find a simple business ringtone on your phone as the manufacturer assumed you would not want one!
