Mobile Movies: Now Playing at a Tiny Screen Near You
June 30th, 2005 | by amarfresh |In China, a 5 part, 25 minute movie was filmed specifically for mobile phone consumption. Telegraph reports that the movie, which cost nearly $360k to produce, is the first film to be commissioned for mobile phone viewing.
“The number of mobile phone users in China has doubled to more than 350 million in three years. And the film is just one of numerous gimmicks used to attract users in the over-subscribed and ultra-competitive market.”
