Disney Teams with Sprint to Offer National Wireless Service for Families; Taps High-Speed Sprint Nationwide PCS Network for Service
July 6th, 2005 | by amarfresh |Last week I posted that Sprint was to start offering a Looney Tunes channel. Today they announced an entire wireless service in partnership with Disney - Disney Mobile.
Disney Mobile plans to offer a comprehensive mobile service, including wireless voice service, exclusive handsets and a package of features and applications tailored to meet the unique communication needs of families. The service will also include a range of entertainment content for the family.
I imagine that Disney phones will come pre-loaded with Disney graphics and ringtones… and give you the option to buy more. I wonder if Disney, as an MVNO, will “censor” the Looney Tunes channel. I doubt it, but I would expect a Disney Mobile TV Channel to be announced shortly.
