iTunes Phone To Launch on Cingular
August 31st, 2005 | by amarfresh |It’s official. Or is it? The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that the much hyped iTunes phone will arrive at Cingular on September 7 according to Phone Scoop. Moconews speculates that it will only hold 25 songs and will carry an older design.
There has been so much hype about this. Rafat (at Moconews) commented, “if the phone is any less than the iPod experience…it will be a disappointment.” I totally agree. For all practical purposes, it is still a Motorola phone. iTunes on a PC does not a Macintosh make. What we need is an Apple branded/designed/developed/polished phone. If only Apple can do for the cell phone market what it did for the PC, PDA, Digital Camera, Digital Audio, etc. markets. OSX Mobile anyone?
