When Should Kids Get Gadgets?

When I was 10 I don’t think I personally owned anything which cost more than $100 let alone $300. But that is how much the gagets which children are asking for cost. But even if you can afford to give your child an iPod, cellphone or laptop there are other things for parents to consider.
“It’s not really about the money,” said Scott, who lives in the Seattle area. “To me, it’s about her not being given every little thing she asks for just because her friends have one.”
