SMS Widget: SMS From your Mac
March 27th, 2006 | by amarfresh |I’ve been fortunate to have had a new iMac at my disposal recently (while crashing at my brother’s place.) Amongst his Dashboard widgets was the SMS Widget.
This nifty, free, widget lets you send SMS to any major North American carrier via the internet (email to SMS gateway.)
* Free messages to ACS Alaska, Alltel, Arch Wireless Pager, AT&T, Boost, Cellular South, Cingular, Cricket, Metro PCS, Midwest Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, SunCom, T-Mobile, Verizon, Verizon Pager, Virgin Mobile, Qwest, and “Beats me!” in the USA.
* Free messages to Bell Mobility, Fido, MTS, Rogers, TELUS, and “Beats me!” in Canada.
Like most of the Widgets you find on your Mac, this one has a slick design and is animated rather nicely.
