Adobe Brings Flash To Verizon

April 6th, 2006 | by amarfresh |

Woohoo!

Maybe now Verizon will be able to ditch their new, crappy, red-bar interface.

Adobe executives wouldn’t spell out details of the pact, but said Verizon Wireless will be able to download ringtones and wallpapers powered by Flash software.

Let’s see if they allow Flash to be played inside their wap browser…

Mark my words… mobile Flash will change everything: gaming, game development time, flash enabled WAP sites w/Flash interfaces. Theoretically, any of these crappy java games that we purchase for our phones can exist in Flash and deployed simply (and freely) over WAP. I expect to see subscription WAP services offering Flash content. Perhaps a Gametap-style service featuring Flash games…

The only thing holding us back are these damn cellcos and them figuring out how to monetize it.
