Motorola, Yahoo expand mobile Web deal

A ditty on Reuters talks of the latest deal between Internet giant Yahoo and cell phone company, Motorola. This is beginning to remind me of how AOL and Netscape would get preloaded on PCs. The difference here is that you probably can\’t uninstall anything, and if you are on Verizon, these preinstalled apps won\’t see the light of day, er lcd.

Motorola will preload Yahoo\’s e-mail, search, address book and local search features onto handsets beginning in the first half of 2007 in markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
