Friendster Mobile in the Philippines

It seems that the Friendster Mobile offering in the Philipines does all that a MySpace Helio phone can do for mySpace- but all through SMS. In case you didn’t know, Filipinos love texting as much as pork and pish (fish).
I tried to sign up, but alas I don’t have a Philippines-based number. I totally forgot about Friendster until my cousin told me of a friend that wanted to meet me after seeing me on his Friendster friends list. After about 30 minutes of trying old emails and passwords I was able to finally login. I had left Friendster b/c it was way too sloow. They seemed to have fixed that, now they just need to get back all the users they lost to myspace and facebook.
