Usage Extending to the Playground?

According to the Mobile Life Youth Report recently filed in the U.K., 51% of 10-year-olds in the United Kingdom have their own cell phone, and 91% of 12-year-olds possess one of the devices.
At those ripe ages it seems merely novel to have a cell phone in your lunch box, but as you get older the social impact of ownership/usage becomes profound.
The report states 78% of U.K. teens claim having a cell phone provides them a better social life. 42% of 15-to-17-year-old girls polled feel “unwanted” if their cell didn’t ring once during the day.
