Please Unplug Your Cell After Charging

Treehugger writes that “If 10 percent of the world’s cell phone owners did this, it would reduce energy consumption by an amount equivalent to that used by 60,000 European homes per year.”

WTF.

You’d think that by now we would have sufficient technology to automagically “stop” the charging process once a device is fully charged. As an alternative to that elusive technology, I like what Charlie White from Gizmodo had to say: “Hey, next thing you know someone will offer special audible “charge tones,” available for download for $1.99.”
