The LG Prada Phone: Oh, no they di’int!

Here’s touchscreen cell phone goodness you can gitcher hands on (if you live in Europe) months before Apple’s iPhone, courtesy of LG and Prada. Everybody knew the two companies were in cahoots, but the fruit of their labor hasn’t been glimpsed until now.
Like the iPhone, the LG Prada phone eschews the contemporary keypad for a touchscreen; other remarkable similarities include music and video playback, a 2 MB digital camera, access to e-mail and the Internet, and both phones run on the pokey Edge wireless network.
However, the LGPP lacks WiFi and built-in internal storage. Comparatively speaking, the iPhone will have WiFi and come with either a 4 GB or 8 GB flash drive. The LGPP includes a slot for memory cards.
The LG Prada phone will retail for $780 when it streets next month in Europe.
