20th Century Cool, 21st Century Tech

Gordon Gekko would love this — the ’80s Brick Cell Phone. It’s an unlocked, GSM-compatible handset sporting as much 21 Century tech as it’s missing. The phone doesn’t have Bluetooth or USB connectivity, and wireless headsets and car chargers won’t work with it, although would you really want it to? Go buy a RAZR if you want that namby-pamby, the-future-is-now crap.
The ’80s Brick Cell Phone does have a color display, speakerphone, a 500-entry phone book, a calendar, an alarm clock, and a calculator. It supports poly tones, wallpaper, and screensavers, and can send and recieve SMS.
The handset weighs a pound with battery and is nearly eight inches long. It retails for $169 and you can buy it here.
