A slow news day in Sheboygan…

Stop the presses! 8-year-old girl prank calls 911 using mother’s cell phone!

A little girl in Plymouth, WI, phoned the 911 dispatcher at the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department more than 100 times last week with her mother’s old, unused cell phone. Some of her more imaginative emergencies involved being trapped in a house as it burned around her, and the stabbing of a loved one.

When she called she assumed the guise of “Matthew,” undoubtedly regarded by the 911 operator as the most effeminate third-grade boy in the greater Sheboygan region. Not only that, she swore a lot too.

Because of her age she won’t be charged or referred to juvenile authorities, but her parents are free to send her to bed without supper for as many nights as they see fit.

Props to: The Green Bay Press-Gazette.
