Japanese prefer polytones to realtones
March 28th, 2007 | by amarfresh |When it comes to ringtones some people prefer their phones to sound like crappy transistor radios (realtones) while others prefer the sweet synthesized midi sounds (polytones).
In Japan, the progenitors of mobile content, only 15.7% of survey respondents indicated they use real tones.
More surprising was the fact that 73.7% of respondents did not use their phone’s audio player feature.
